Thursday, 5th April

One thing you need to get used to here is the fantastic hospitality. We head off to Lyon to visit Fourviere - a fabulous church up on high grounds. French history, church history make up a large part of the input we are given daily to help us understand life in the 18th and 19th centuries. We had a lot of free time which we spent in the old part of Lyon, fantastic restaurants and bars - the house wine is so good you don't even try and buy by the bottle only the 'pitcher'. We celebrated Holy Thursday back in the Hermitage chappelle followed by the standard per dinner drinks and dinner.
One thing we are dealing with is the lack of or slow access to wifi / Internet. At any opportunity, you have up to 40 people trying to access their iPads/ laptops.
The weather has been kind to us so far, we sleep very well at night!
Don't forget, you can post comments to this blog.
Au Revoir,
Steve & Annette
