Tuesday, 10 April

Things have been moving pretty quickly in this part of the world. We are now in Roma. Been here since Monday. Had a fantastic weekend in France - with all the Easter stuff happening around the Hermitage, St Chamond. Then spending time visiting the local region - and doing all the highlights of the Champagnat story. Quite cold but plenty of substance in both food and wine.
A number of us coming down with severe colds due to the changes is climate on a daily basis - nothing that some from age and vino won't fix.
Monday, got a bus to Lyon and boarded and Easyjet - worse than Jetstar - but survived and arrived at Fuimicimo airport in one piece.
Got immediately into the Roma experience. Coliseum, Roman Forum and a fabulous pizzaiera to cap off the night.
Got an open top bus tour- similar to our Paris experience- saw the big spots and spent time at the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Back to our casa and spent the Argo and night at the Maristi General House- where we are staying. Accom is unreal. Spent time with a Nigerian Bro - gave us valuable info for the African leg in 2 days.
Two things must always be sincere - friends and wine!
